Regeneron

International Science and Engineering Fair

Every year Oklahoma students will have the opportunity to participate at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). Regional fairs who elect to affiliate directly with ISEF may select projects to advance to ISEF and the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair may select up to four projects.

Students representing the state of Oklahoma at ISEF will receive OSSEF jackets and other merchandise. Registration, hotel, and travel expenses will also be provided in order to make this opportunity possible for all students.

An ISEF event where everyone is a winner is the pin exchange ceremony. Each Oklahoma student will be given unique Oklahoma metal logo pins that can be used for trading. Collecting pins from the other states and countries is one of the highlights for ISEF finalists each year.

Approximately 1,700 high school students from more than 60 countries, regions, and territories are awarded the opportunity to showcase their independent research and compete for more than $9 million in awards prizes at ISEF.

In addition to the top winners, approximately 600 finalists receive awards and prizes for their innovative research including top Grand Awards across 22 categories. First place Grand Award winners receive $6,000, second place receives $3,000, third place receives $1,200, and fourth place receives $600.
