Regional Science Fairs
Qualifying for OSSEF and ISEF
Students must be nominated from a Regional Fair to qualify for OSSEF, the state level competition. OSSEF will advance a few students to the international competition (ISEF) based upon judging scores and recommendations. Students in grades 9 - 12 are eligible for advancement to ISEF (grades 6 -8 are not eligible for ISEF).
Online student registration for teachers and students open on Feburary 1, 2026 at 8:00 am. Registration must be completed (with all required forms uploaded) by 11:59 pm on March 3, 2026.
If a regional fair is independently affiliated with ISEF, they may advance projects to Regeneron ISEF. Students who advance to ISEF from a regional fair may also choose to present their project at the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair, but this is not required.
