Judging at OSSEF
Judging at the Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair provides excellent opportunities for personal, corporate or organized-based service and outreach to the statewide community of STEM-focused youth.
The 2026 Oklahoma State Science and Engineering Fair will be held on the OSU Stillwater campus, Friday March 27, 2026. Students qualify for OSSEF via competition in one of Oklahoma's eight Regional Fairs. OSSEF is the state-level competition. OSSEF is affiliated with the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). OSSEF students compete in one of two divisions (based upon grade level) and one of the following ten categories:
- Animal Sciences (ANIM)
- Behavioral and Social Sciences (BEHA)
- Biochemistry and Chemistry (BIOCH)
- Biomedical and Health Sciences (BMHS)
- Earth and Environmental Sciences (EAEV)
- Engineering (ENGN)
- Mathematics and Computer Science (MACS)
- Microbiology (MICR)
- Physics and Astronomy (PHYS)
- Plant Sciences (PLNT)
Judging Opportunities
- Junior Division Category Judge (Grades 6-8):
- Judging Qualifications: Master's level students or those with higher levels of education/experience
- Senior Division Category Judge (Grades 9-12):
- Judging Qualifications: Doctoral-level students or those with advanced STEM degrees and/or professional STEM-related experience
- Special Awards Judge (all grades and mixed disciplines):
- Judging Qualifications: Experienced OSSEF judges with advanced STEM degrees and/or professional experience
Judging will take place in the Wes Watkins International Center at Oklahoma State
University, Stillwater, OK. (corner of Washington and Hall of Fame).
